Minor updates for Suzuki's cost-effective cute-ute.
Suzuki may be gone from the US market, but elsewhere in the world it soldiers on. The current Grand Vitara has been on the market in its present form since 2005, so to ut current, Suzuki has given the affordable SUV a series of revisions for the new model year. Fans of the Japanese automaker may notice the new grille and bumper up front. There's also a new set of alloys (available in 17- or 18-inch diameters) and a space-saving spare on the tailgate. (Don't ask us why you'd need to save space on a spare mounted outside the body.)
There's more than some cosmetic updates to this new Vitara, but not much. The 1.9-liter diesel has been revised to reduce its emissions and increase fuel economy, and still drives 127 horsepower through a selectable all-wheel-drive system. Inside there's also retrimmed seats and an available 6.1-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity. That's about the extent of it.
