Genesis has also slashed the price of the 2021 G70 by several thousand dollars.
Last month, the 2022 Genesis G70 debuted with a refreshed exterior, upgraded interior tech, and new standard safety equipment. Pricing for the Launch Edition, which is limited to just 500 examples and comes with exclusive matte colors and 19-inch wheels, starts at $52,500, while the standard trim starts at $37,525 with RWD and $39,625 for AWD.
The updated luxury sedan has only just started arriving in US dealerships, but Cars Direct has discovered that dealers are already offering a secret $1,000 discount. A bulletin sent to dealers advertises an available "$1,000 Retailer Choice Bonus Cash." Effectively, this is a dealer cash incentive that can be combined with 2.9% APR for up to 60 months through Genesis Finance.
The only catch is that, unlike 0% APR deals, dealers can choose how to advertise the offer. Genesis is also allowing dealers to mark up the rate by up to one percent, so it's worth shopping around to get the best possible deal. Even without any discounts, the 2022 Genesis G70 undercuts its German luxury rivals like the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, and Mercedes C-Class by several thousand dollars, making it an attractive alternative.
As standard, the 2022 Genesis G70 is offered with either a 2.0-liter turbo-four rated at 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque or a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 with 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The exterior has also been refreshed to match the design language of the new G80 and GV80, and the cabin has been upgraded with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen.
With the new 2022 G70 on sale, Genesis is also slashing the price of the outgoing 2021 model by $4,000 to clear dealer inventories. This is also the only way you can row your own gears as the G70 is no longer offered with a six-manual transmission for the 2022 facelift. You can take advantage of these Genesis G70 incentives until July 6, 2021.
