Last month, Jaguar unveiled the new Vision Gran Turismo Coupe, a stunning electric supercar inspired by the legendary C-Type and D-Type. Three electric motors produce a combined 1,000 horsepower and 885 lb-ft of torque, enabling the Vision Gran Turismo Coupe to hit 0-62 mph in less than two seconds and max out at 200 mph.
But before you get your hopes up that Jaguar is finally building a new halo supercar after canceling plans to put the CX75 Concept into production, it's a concept car designed for the PlayStation 4 racing game Gran Turismo Sport. After the car was unveiled last month, you can now take the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo Coupe for a virtual spin from the comfort of your sofa, as the striking concept car has been added to Gran Turismo Sport as part of a free update.
In addition to the Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo Concept, four other cars have been added to the game in the free update including the RE Amemiya FD3S RX-7, a modified Mazda RX-7 with an aggressive body kit and 364 horsepower.
Other new cars included in the update are the 2007 RUF CTR3, 2016 Toyota 86 GT 'Limited' and the 2003 BMW M3 E46. Seven new rounds have also been added to the GT League mode, with two new rounds in the Beginner, Amateur, and Professional Leagues, and one new round added in the Endurance League.
Outside of the update, new Lewis Hamilton Time Trial Challenge downloadable content has been made available for Gran Turismo Sport. Available for $7.99, the new single-player mode challenges players to beat times set by the six-time F1 World Drivers Champion Lewis Hamilton, who performed the laps in Gran Turismo Sport.
In addition to the challenges, the package includes replays and video tutorials featuring Hamilton. Completing the events will unlock special bonuses such as new cars and an unlock for the in-game credits limit.
