We were on hand to see Ferrari reveal its latest V12 masterpiece, the 812 Superfast, the other week at Geneva. As is the case with all Ferrari live debuts, it was a pretty big deal. After all, naturally aspirated V12s are a dying breed, and Ferrari was there taking literally the opposite approach: a celebration of horsepower and engine heritage. It was a good time. And now Ferrari wants to share with everyone who couldn't make it to the Swiss show just what the 812 Superfast is all about. Uh, going fast? Bingo, and then some.

What you're about to see is the official 812 Superfast launch video, and yes, there are some CGI effects, but the sound coming from that 6.5-liter V12 is all real and it's spectacular.

After seeing the 812 Superfast in the flesh, we can confidently tell you all that it improves upon perfection, which we thought was achieved with its predecessor, the F12berlinetta. Apparently not. The 812 Superfast, aside from being faster and more powerful (a total of 789 hp and 530 lb-ft of torque), looks even better and sexier inside and out than pictures alone show. The front-engined Ferrari V12 proudly lives on. For how much longer is hard to say, but let's enjoy the here and now.
