Want to get your hands on a new hypercar? You could put your name on a waiting list (assuming you have the means), but there's no telling how many months or years you'll have to wait to take delivery. Or you could head to the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa at the end of next month. That's where Mecum Auctions will sell off a tantalizing array of super-high-performance metal (or carbon) to the highest bidders.

On the docket this year are examples of just about every true hypercar out there. There's a McLaren P1, a Porsche 918 Spyder, a Ferrari LaFerrari, a Pagani Huayra, and not one, not two, but three different Bugatti Veyrons.

One of the most enticing of them all is the 2014 Pagani Huarya – the 62nd of just 100 made. It's done up in blue-tinted carbon fiber with yellow accents and a white leather interior, the attention to detail in which is second to none. Like any other Huayra, it packs a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 good for 720 horsepower, a three-second 0-60 time, and a 238-mph top speed. This example was delivered new to a customer in the US, and has put on less than 400 miles in those past four years or so.

If 2015's crop of hybrid hypercars are more your thing, Mecum has you covered there, too. The yellow LaFerrari boasts 949 horsepower from its electric-assisted 6.3-liter atmospheric V12, and has covered just 419 miles from new. The Porsche 918 is the 541st of 918 examples made, done up in black with the Martini Racing livery. Its hybrid 4.6-liter V8 delivers a combined 875 horsepower and has accumulated 885 miles. And the 330th of 375 McLaren P1s made is done up win dark gray with extensive MSO options and shows 535 miles on the clock.

And if you're hell-bent on getting a Bugatti but can't get your hands on a new Chiron, Mecum has three Veyrons consigned for the same auction. There's a 2010 coupe that's the only one of the dozen Sang Noir editions made with a red interior (showing 3,401 miles). Also on offer is a black and red 2012 Grand Sport roadster with 950 miles on the clock and a cognac-leather interior. Both pack the (relatively) less potent version of Bugatti's 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine kicking out 1,001 horsepower. And they're joined by a 2015 Vitesse roadster in silver over deep orangish brown with the more potent 1,200-horsepower engine and 1,526 miles from new.

Of course these aren't the only items on the docket, but for hypercar fans, they may be the most enticing. Just don't expect them to sell for cheap.
