As a part of the 100th Indianapolis 500, Team Hot Wheels is putting together the finishing touches to a full-scale ramp replica that will be used to perform a world record jump. The team consists of a group of stuntmen and extreme sports addicts. Apparently, the overall goal is to propel a winged off-road truck over 300 feet in the air and beat the current world record. Many of us as kids used to do this type of stuff, only with Hot Wheels toys.
In other words, this should be very interesting to see when carried out in real life. Stay tuned for this weekend's event. Photos courtesy of Indianapolis Motor Speedway via Flickr.
