A single image of the upcoming flagship coupe was unveiled by Mercedes in Stuttgart.
Just weeks before its official unveiling at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz officials have leaked a single picture of their 2015 flagship S Class Coupe. At a company presentation in Stuttgart, officials showed one image of the large two-door, which will be available in S500, S63 and S65 AMG trims. Engines for these models should mirror the sedan offerings, with twin-turbos throughout the lineup and a 4.6-liter 455 horsepower V8, 5.5-liter 585hp V8 and 6.0-liter 530hp V12 respectively.
The CL replacement shown in at the presentation sports a sloping windscreen, single bar grille and swooping roof, all highly reminiscent of the S Class Coupe Concept which was unveiled last September. Expect the production model to be packed with technology, just like its four-door brother, but perhaps offering a less-chauffeured and more driver-oriented experience for buyers. To this end, the steering wheel and dashboard should be revised from those in the sedan. Stay tuned for more information before the Geneva show in March.
