TEASED: Big Changes Coming To 2023 Hyundai Palisade

Teaser / 7 Comments

Hyundai is totally revamping the Palisade for 2023.

With the 2022 New York International Auto Show rapidly approaching, we're starting to see what automakers have planned for one of the country's largest auto shows. This time, it's the Hyundai Palisade SUV, images of which have just been shared. But we've got loads more info thanks to a very helpful reader.

The list of changes is pretty long. As the photos reveal, the Palisade is getting a pretty thorough aesthetic update, while recent spy shots hint at a raft of visual changes beyond what Hyundai has shown. As far as we can tell, the bumpers, grille, headlights, wheels, and mirrors will all be new. Effectively, that's just about everything that can be changed without radically altering the car's structure.

Based on the teaser photos, we can see that everything from that list that we can see holds true. The headlights are indeed different, and the grille has been significantly expanded. It looks like the area beneath the grille has also been slightly redesigned, though the added rectangles in the middle are about the only change we're able to make out. The facelifted Palisade also appears to be wearing some new shoes, though it's hard to tell thanks to the lighting.

Teaser images aside, we do know about some new, as-yet-unannounced changes. Hyundai is ditching the "Rainforest" color for "Robust Emerald," for starters. Also new are auto-dimming side mirrors with integrated turn signals.

Inside, the upper dash, instrument cluster, floor console trim, steering wheel, and seating surfaces are all new. The SEL trim will also get an 8-way powered passenger seat, wireless charging, and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Hyundai has also added adaptive cruise control and rear collision warning software.

As for any further info, we will have to wait a bit. It's hard to imagine Hyundai giving us any more info ahead of the NYIAS, but you never know. Maybe one of you will once again uncover more information. Pricing hasn't been announced for the new Palisade yet, and the refreshed model is slated to go on sale this summer.
