It's official. There is a new Maserati GranTurismo coming out and it'll be shown off at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The new vehicle is called the GranCabrio Sport, known as GranTurismo Convertible in the States, and Maserati is claiming that it will sport extra power. The GranCabrio Sport is as powerful as the Euro-spec and racetrack optimized MC Stadale, developing some 444-horses and 376 lb-ft of torque all thanks to the normally aspirated 4.7-liter V8.

The GranCabrio Sport's engine will also benefit from Maserati's new Friction Reduction Program, a program which optimizes and helps the engine's internal combustion produce the horsepower. The exterior appearance sports a black front grille and blacked-out headlights with white borders. The Maserati trident gets red accents, while the side skirts and front corner splitters are more aggressive in appearance. The GranCabrio Sport is set to go on sale in the U.S. this summer, but look out for more details about this car when we cover the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
