Thanks to the pandemic, not to mention the savings that online reveals can accrue, most of this year's new model releases have been unveiled online. It's a clever solution and one that allows for strict control of the narrative throughout the proceeding, and Infiniti is using the online space to reveal its next-generation Infiniti QX60 Monograph too. In a short press release, Infiniti confirmed that the company will "will unveil a vision of how it plans to transform the QX60 nameplate through a virtual reveal of the QX60 Monograph from Yokohama, Japan." Along with this, an animation teasing the new model was also shown.

The gif doesn't reveal all that much besides the usual LED running lights and possibly an illuminated Infiniti logo, but the takeaway from the teaser is that the QX60 Monograph will be a special design study that will showcase the new direction that Infiniti's designers are considering for the three-row SUV. With Infiniti partnering with Mercedes, we can expect a high standard for new models going forward along with the striking design that Infiniti is already known for. Along with clever marketing strategies that should lure more customers into dealers, Infiniti will be focusing on streamlining the development of all its planned vehicles going forward.

Infiniti needs to start offering more models to keep its name alive, and hopefully, the new direction that the brand is taking will also help to ensure its survival. We'll have to wait until September 25th to see what exactly this means for the way new Infiniti models may look, but based on previous Infiniti concepts and design studies, we have no doubt that the Japanese brand will be making a statement when the reveal happens. As always, we'll report back on the day and detail exactly what the design changes mean. Here's hoping that the brand continues to shine.
