Lexus is one of those brands that is both great and mediocre at the same time. The automaker hasn't released anything even close to as impressive as the iconic LFA, yet by keeping the V8 alive in the IS 500 F Sport Performance, you can tell that this is still a company that cares about the enthusiast. Sure, the automaker is still bringing relatively boring crossovers into the world, like the NX, but it has been focusing on performance just as much. So should things stay as they are, or should they be looked at from a new point of view? It seems that Lexus thinks the latter is the best option, as a new concept, teased today, will aim to usher in a new era of Lexus cars.

As the teasers you see here show, Lexus isn't giving us much to go on. Along with the pictures, all we get are the following words: "Lexus will unveil its future vision, along with a new concept that symbolizes its intentions for the future and marks the beginning of the next generation." That really tells us next to nothing, but supposedly, the concept's reveal will elaborate on this. What we can see from the images is a sharply-styled front end with an illuminated logo. Beneath that, the shadowy teaser also shows what could either be a forward-facing radar or an F badge, the latter of which could indicate some sort of performance bias from the new machine.

The images of the rear show some strange, illuminated antenna, complex LED taillights, and a rear grille that will likely not have any real-world application. Looking at the profile is much more interesting though. While most new cars opt for a sloping roofline that tapers towards the rear, it seems that this new vehicle will do the opposite, indicating loads of rear-seat headroom. It's also an interesting angle for the sculpted doors that give the impression of movement, while the shortness of the tail and the gaps between the vehicle and the floor indicate that this will be an SUV of sorts. We assume it'll be electric, of course, but all will be revealed on Tuesday, March 30th.
