TechArt, the renowned Porsche tuner responsible for some seriously powerful motorcars, has expanded its 3D configurator with new refinement programs for several models.

Customers can now envision the 911 GT3 with a carbon fiber hood and fenders, along with flared wheel arches and modified front and rear fascias. The 911 Turbo and GTS configurators now feature the Clubsport interior package (with roll bar) and the stylish Formula V11 forged wheel design.

Fans of the tuner can also use the revised 3D configurator to design the custom 911 Turbo-based GTstreet R and the GrandGT, which is based on the Panamera. This includes vehicle paint, forged wheels, aero kits with various finishes, and plenty of personalization equipment.

If you're serious about purchasing your carefully designed TechArt Porsche, customers can even send the spec and options lost to a customer advisor.

But, if you're like us and don't have the wherewithal for a TechArt, there's still an opportunity for lots of fun and dreaming.

We've given the configurator a whirl, selecting the aforementioned GTStreet R as our automotive canvas. An array of colors are available, including popular Porsche colors like Guards Red. Several secondary hues are also available. TechArt offers carbon fiber exterior finishes in a matte or glossy look, as well as a forged pattern in the aforementioned finishes.

Further enhancements, such as pinstripes, are also available.

The TechArt Formula VI design is the only wheel choice provided, but you can choose between a pinstripe or a peculiar-looking Aero Disc finish for these wheels. The wheel is made available in Unicolor, gloss-turned, and bi-color designs.

The over-the-top body kit can also be customized with just about any color the buyer wants, making for truly unique Porsche-based vehicles.

Smaller details like the side mirrors and logos can also be customized to the buyer's liking, with available carbon fiber mirrors and discreet black badging, for example. Pinstripes can also be applied to the front and rear bumpers. Two soft-top roof colors are offered: black and red.

Unfortunately, the interior section isn't quite as detailed as some OEM configurators. Still, users can choose between five leather upholstery finishes for the GTStreet R, including Bordeaux Red, Truffle Brown, Graphite Blue, Slate Grey, and Black. There aren't any options for trim inlays, but we assume TechArt will provide this for serious buyers.

Several performance upgrades can also be selected in the configurator, from sports suspension kits to turbochargers that boost output by 133 horsepower.

It's a fine way to kill time - especially if you're a Porsche fan - and, with many models to choose from, you'll be entertained for hours.
