Despite the company being around for a good 127 years, Skoda isn't a manufacturer that is well-known in the USA. Its products are currently available in select markets throughout Europe. In an attempt to tackle the global success of the Tesla Model Y though, the Czech company will soon be launching its Enyaq Coupe iV as a more lifestyle-oriented example of its current electrified crossover.

With the official reveal set to take place at the end of this month, Skoda confirms that its new product will benefit from an emotive design and outstanding aerodynamics. Considering this, the manufacturer is already claiming that it will boast an improved range over the Enyaq SUV that has a claimed figure of 323 miles. For reference, the Model Y in Long Range state offers 318 miles on a full charge.

The sketches of the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV that preempts the reveal shows-off a pair of side skirts painted in the body color with large alloy wheels. The redesigned sloping roofline merges into the tailgate from the B-pillar and is accentuated by Skoda branding in large block capital letters. Although not displayed in the sketches, these have been placed right below a sharp tear-off edge and the brand's signature C-shaped rear lights.

When viewed from the front, the Enyaq Coupe shows off a dynamic grille design complemented by a pair of sharply cut front headlights which further adds to the wide look of the crossover. The front apron altogether promotes a sense of dynamism and performance that has already been attached to crossover coupes.

Like the standard Enyaq, this Coupe variant will employ Volkswagen Group's Modular Electrification Toolkit architecture which is currently applied to products such as the ID.4. Drivetrains available for this layout include a 177- and 200-horsepower rear-wheel-drive option and a flagship 262-hp all-wheel-drive selection.

While those seem like favorable figures, the aforementioned Model Y Long Range offers a more preferable 351 hp. Furthermore, it's also a bit larger at 187-inches, compared to the Enyaq SUV's figure of 183-inches. Sales reports tend to show that countries remain loyal to homemade products but the VW group's MEB range, which includes the upcoming Enyaq Coupe iV, is going to have to put its best tires forward to make an impact on the market.
