The Dodge Challenger is without question one of the coolest cars you can buy today. Whether you go with the base V6 or opt for the top-end Hellcat with its supercharged Hemi V8 (our choice, obviously), you're bound to receive plenty of attention no matter where you drive. And to make us love the big coupe even more, Dodge has just announced that it's earned a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This is the highest score possible.

The government agency noted the availability of the Challenger's Forward Collision Warning, a system which features forward-facing sensors programmed to detect the potential for certain types of frontal collisions. If anything's detected, the driver is alerted with visual and audio warnings. Apparently, the Challenger is the only car in its class to have this capability. Other optional safety features (there's more than 70 overall) include Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Path Detection. More importantly, however, is that the Challenger received five stars in the front- and side-impact crash-tests. Going fast, looking and sounding incredible, and ridiculously safe. That's the 2015 Challenger.
