Whether you like the way it looks or not, you have to admit the 2017 Audi TTS Coupe is a quality a machine. Look, it's an Audi and when was the last time Audi built a complete piece of crap? During our time with this 2017 TTS Coupe, painted Sepang Blue Pearl and riding on a set of 20-inch wheels, we were immediately drawn to its so-called "TT-ness," meaning its distinctive, almost Avant-garde design. We dig it, and we also appreciate what's under the hood: a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four making 292 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque.

Is this the best engine Audi could've gone with? No, but that's why the upcoming TT RS and its turbocharged 2.5-liter with 400 hp and 354 lb-ft of kick exists.

N/A

The turbo two banger still does the job well enough but in place of the standard six-speed dual-clutch (yes, you guessed right) the TTS is absolutely screaming for some row-your-own gears fun. If only Audi offered a six-speed manual then we'd be fully content with this third-gen TTS. There are lots of "if onlys" in this world. Special thanks to Niello Audi-Sacramento for letting us film the car.
