What is the EcoSport? Essentially, a raised Ford Fiesta. Built on the same platform as the Fiesta, buyers will have a choice between a turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost or a 2.0-liter four, the latter being all-wheel drive only, and both engines are mated to a six-speed auto.

Ford’s tagline for the EcoBoost is spot-on, “Go Small, Live Big.” So maybe we ought to think of the new EcoSport as something that’ll appeal to Fiesta owners who want to sit up higher. Maybe. But Ford also highlights the standard 8-inch floating touchscreen display with Sync 3 and compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Connectivity? Check.
