Technically it's 273.7 mph, but who's counting?
The Ford GT was never intended to challenge the records for fastest production car in the world. It is easily one of the prettiest (obviously a matter of taste, but we're still right), but that isn't quite the same thing. Still, it was certainly no slouch, and with the proper tuning, it can be made to go fast as hell. And here we see such a GT, one with twin turbochargers that holds the record at the Texas Mile. This is not actually its fastest recorded pass, however.
Its fastest was 278mph, which isn't that much faster, and this is the one we have the video for, so just deal with it.
