Many of you remember the Volkswagen Design Vision GTI, that 500 horsepower concept revealed last May. Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 503 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, it sends that juice to all four wheels via a dual-clutch gearbox. And it puts the Golf R to shame. 0-62 mph happens in 3.9 seconds flat and has a top speed of 186 mph. Its exterior styling and stance are outrageous. Other supercar-like features include carbon ceramic brakes and some massive 20-inch wheels.

The interior is decked out with bucket seats, carbon-fiber dash and Alcantara covering just about everything. It's quite a package. Unfortunately it'll never see production. Who on earth would pay £3.4 million ($5.5 million USD) for a ridiculously fast Golf? That's how much it cost VW to produce the working prototype.
