Last month, Saleen unveiled the 700-hp Sportruck XR, a new off-road variant of the tuner's existing Sportruck. Few details or photos were available, but Saleen has now shown off its latest creation on

Facebook. Based on the Ford F-150 XLT, the Sportruck XR is designed to tackle tough terrain. Saleen has added 2.5-inch coilovers at the front and rear and new brakes with 13.8-inch rotors with two-piston calipers at the front and 13.8-inch rotors with single-piston calipers at the back.

To make it look more aggressive, Saleen also upgrades the body with custom front and rear bumpers, body-color door, and tailgate handles, body-color wheel flares, body-color grille, sidesteps, tailgate panel and power hood. It rides on a set of 17x8.5-inch six-spoke wheels wrapped in General Tire Grabber X3 tires. Inside, the headrests and floor matters are embroidered with the Saleen logo, as well as a dash plaque with a serialized VIN. There's also an eight-way power driver's seat, power adjustable pedals, and signature Saleen White Face Gauges. It's available with either a naturally aspirated or supercharged engines, with the latter producing 700 hp, but no performance specifications have been provided. Rival tuner Hennessey also offers a

similarly insane off-roader based on the F-150 Raptor with the same power output.

The range-topping Black Label version also includes Saleen upper and lower control arms, Saleen Spindle, tuned for Saleen Fox front shocks with bypass for 12-inches of travel, Saleen rear leaf springs, Saleen bump stop with frame gusset, and Saleen custom-tuned rear bypass shocks for 14 inches of travel, as well as full leather upholstery. Saleen is currently accepting orders for the Sportruck XR, but pricing details haven't been revealed.
