The Ariel Atom 3.5R is 350-HP of Supercharged Awesomeness

Review

It weighs just 1,212 lbs. and has 350 horsepower. Think about that.

With a weight of just 1,212 lbs, the Ariel Atom 3.5R is not your typical street legal track toy. Sure, the standard Ariel Atom is one fine piece of performance machinery, but the 3.5R is reserved only for the real (and somewhat insane) enthusiasts. Let’s take a look at the specs: Power comes from the Honda Civic Type R’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder, only now it’s been supercharged to produce an output of 350 horsepower and more than 243 lb-ft of torque.

Factor in that total weight and we’re looking at a power-to-weight ratio of 636-hp per ton. 0-60 mph happens in only 2.6 seconds, and the 0-100 sprint takes just 6 seconds flat. With its carbon aero kit, big brakes, and beefy tires, the Ariel Atom 3.5R was designed solely for thrilling performance and a head rush unlike any other.
