Until recently, if you wanted to buy a BAC Mono in the US, you had to import it. That changed in 2017 with the launch of the BAC USA dealer network and aftersales service, which has set up dealers in New York and Dallas, Texas, giving US customers a new alternative to track-focused sports cars like the Porsche 911 GT3.

Continuing its US expansion, Briggs Automotive Company is launching BAC Michigan to bring the stripped-down single-seater supercar to the Midwest. Based in Birmingham, Michigan, Platinum Cars will be the only dealership in the Midwest to sell the Mono and will also serve as a BAC distributor for Michigan.

In addition to the BAC Mono, the premium dealer also sells Bentley, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Porsche cars. "Platinum Motorcars is the ideal partner to distribute the Mono. The first of BAC Michigan's Mono supercars is currently on display at PMC and can be bought as a fully road-legal supercar. The all-new BAC Mono is powered by a 2.3-liter four-cylinder in-line turbo engine producing 340 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. While there are more powerful performance cars, the Mono tips the scales at just 1,223 pounds. This gives it a power-to-weight ratio of 582-hp-per-tonne, enabling it to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.7 seconds and max out at 170 mph.
