The last time we saw the Mexican-built Vuhl 05 was at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The small Mexican firm has just announced that its 05 track will go on sale in the UK by the end of this year. The radically designed 05 will cost£59,995, or $93,793 USD. So far there's no word on when the track-oriented car will go on sale in the US. Yes, we're thinking it to: That's a huge chunk of change for a high-end track vehicle.

But, for less than $100,000 the Vuhl 05 track car features a 2.0-liter Ford EcoBoost engine that generates 285 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Tipping the scales at just 1.532 lbs., the vehicle will able to propel well-to-do enthusiasts to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds and onto a top speed of 152 mph. Vuhl has designed the 05 track car to provide drivers with a thrilling experience, which equates to no power steering and a six-speed manual gearbox.

The Mexican company wants the 05 race car to be exclusive, so the factory is set to produce only 50 units a year. The first few Vuhl 05 track cars will be a special "edition one" with a remapped ECU for approximately 300 hp, larger wheels, as well as a distinct finish for the interior and exterior. With a face only a mother could love, do you think Vuhl 05 track car has what it takes to compete against the inspiring Ariel Atom, KTM X-Bow or BAC Mono?
