BMW has just released official pricing of the M4 convertible, which starts off at $73,425. Adding optional features will boost the price even further (carbon ceramic brakes alone cost an extra $8,150).

Now, the M4 coupe bases at $65,125. Do the quick math. That's quite a steep price to pay for air in your hair. What's more is that it's still unknown whether or not the M3/M4 will be subject to the gas-guzzler tax, causing the price tag to swell even further. The M4 convertible is also 525 lbs. heavier than the coupe, something else to consider before making the final choice.
