This is the SUV you'll want to take to the track.
The name Brabus certainly sounds mean, and that's because the German tuner makes some mean cars. It doesn't only make cars fast, though. It gives them the looks to match too. Trust us when we say that none of these tune jobs are sleepers. Any car with a full Brabus conversion is pretty much the best spec it can be, like the Mercedes-AMG GLS63 4Matic. In stock form the big 5.5-liter bi-turbo V8 makes 577 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque, mighty impressive if we do say so ourselves.
In Brabus form, the giant-sized GLS63 AMG is simply nuts. The large SUV becomes known as the Brabus 850 XL, which alludes to the power and the size if we have to guess. The engine upgrades take the already powerful V8 up to 850 hp with an absolutely monstrous 1,069 lb-ft of torque. That massive torque increase isn't just from fiddling with the boost. It's thanks to an increased displacement that sees the bi-turbo V8 measure in at 6.0-liters. As they saying goes, there's no replacement for displacement. Well there's boost, but this monster has both. This increase sees the GLS, which tips the scales at an extra heavy 5,688 lbs able to do the 0-62 mph dash in just 4.2 seconds.
To help keep you alive, Brabus has limited the top speed to 186 mph, although we'd be scared to go that fast in a tank, airbags or not. Brabus also added some tasty Platinum Edition forged monoblock wheels in a 23-inch size as well as a host of body add-ons in a bare carbon finish, both inside and out.
