It's no secret that Cadillac is currently in the midst of developing and testing the high-performance ATS-V. While the sheets were just pulled off the ATS Coupe at Detroit, enthusiasts are really clamoring to get their hands on the ATS-V, which should arrive in the coming year. Sources have confirmed it'll be powered by a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 that'll be good for about 425 horsepower. What's more, that engine will be paired to the Corvette's seven-speed manual.

And the news only gets better. Cadillac is also planning a so-called ATS-V+ that'll be powered by a V8. Motor Trend is even taking a guess that this V8 will be the same supercharged unit in the Corvette Z06. A 625 hp Cadillac ATS-V +? Oh, we're so down for that. One upcoming Caddy that'll definitely be powered by a Corvette V8 (a turbocharged version of the Stingray's LT1) is the upcoming CTS-V. And yes, the ATS Coupe will also be receiving the V treatment.
