The Cancelled Jaguar C-X75 Hybrid Supercar Will be Driven by Villain in Next James Bond Movie 'Spectre'

Production, however, still isn't happening.

James Bond, of course, will drive an Aston Martin in the 24th film of the franchise, "Spectre." That’s a given; the Aston Martin DB10 was revealed earlier this month. But what about the villain’s ride? Surely they must also drive something that’s both bad ass and sexy. Well, now we’ve got our answer. According to a new report, the cancelled Jaguar C-X75 hybrid supercar will also star in Spectre, and will very likely be driven by the bad guy.

If you recall from 2012, the C-X75 was an ultra-gorgeous, high-tech concept that came extremely close to receiving the production green light. Sadly, Jaguar changed its mind at nearly the last minute. Instead of the concept’s hybrid powertrain, the film car will receive Jag’s supercharged 5.0-liter V8. Jaguar hasn’t confirmed the C-X75’s involvement in Bond, but it also has yet to deny the reports. Bond’s adversaries have a history of driving Jaguars, with the XJ8 and XJR in "Casino Royale" and the XKR in "Die Another Day." Rather conveniently, Jaguar’s current marketing campaign, "Good to be Bad," is a perfect fit in this case. We’ll have more details once they’re available.
