The CT-1 Could Be The Mid-Engine Cadillac Of Your Dreams

It's just a rendering...for now.

As you may have guessed, the Cadillac CT-1 is not an official concept. No, this car was designed entirely by Eirik Stensrud, a transportation design student living in Pasadena, California. Stensrud’s design has a decidedly supercar look to it, a nice departure from Cadillac’s current design approach. It’s not bad per se, but if you’re going to create a concept sports car you might as well go in an entirely different direction, right?

What makes this rendering so interesting are the reports that GM is developing a mid-engine, high-performance sports car setup. If Cadillac really is supposed to be the recipient of this setup, as the rumor goes, then there would likely be an entirely new car built around it. Thus, we have the CT-1. Again, it’s just a concept from a design student, but if enough of these get pumped out and receive good reviews it could make GM wonder “what if.” For now you’ll have to gaze longingly at the CT-1 while wondering the same.
