The Definition Of Dumb: Driving A 2015 Aston Martin Through A Flooded Road

Offbeat / 16 Comments

Dumb and dangerous.

We've seen time and time again that trying to drive a luxury car through a flooded road is a bad idea. OK, to be fair it worked out pretty well for this guy but that's the exception to the rule! Things didn't go so hot for the driver of this 2015 Aston Martin. Heavy rains have hit Chattanooga, Tennessee, and many roads are underwater. Of course that didn't stop this genius from testing his luck. Unfortunately his luck quickly ran out and he was forced to abandon his ride and call a tow truck.

The tow truck driver who responded to the call for help put it best when speaking to local NBC affiliate WRCBtv. "I mean I don't know how he didn't notice water coming in the door," said A-1 Towing operator Justin Luce. "The car's totaled there's no doubt about that." The image of the Aston underwater (the one from the front) was first posted to Reddit by user infazz and a few jokingly wondered if this was Doug DeMuro's unlimited mileage bumper-to-bumper warranty V8 Vantage. The former auto exec turned YouTube funny man chimed in, confirming that it wasn't his. Damn, that would have been a hell of a story.
