This situation could have ended much worse than it did. It all started with a 1998 Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car and its driver who was driving too fast on I-376 near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, last Sunday. The driver lost control of the rare C5 Vette, most likely because eye witnesses said he was driving too fast. Both car and driver rolled over and ended up in a roadside ditch, but it didn't end there. The car quickly caught on fire and its driver was trapped inside.

N/A

Fortunately, those same witnesses, who previously saw the Corvette speed by them, stopped and managed to unbuckle the driver and drag him to safety. He's now in stable condition. The Corvette, well, that's something else. It was one of just 1,163 1998 Corvette convertible Pace Cars built. Judging by the images we have, this thing is completely toast.
