Citroen is one of those automakers that sadly aren't sold in the US. Aside from building quirky and memorable cars for decades, Citroen is currently enjoying a design renaissance thanks to its DS series. The styling is both unique and sporty, drawing some inspiration from racing series such as the World Rally Championship. And now Citroen will debut yet another exciting concept at Beijing later this month.

Based on the recently launched DS 5LS, the DS 5LS R Concept is a high-performance luxury sedan powered by a 1.6-liter turbo four that produces 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Compared to the current production version, the concept's chassis has been lowered by 15mm and there are also wider front tracks as well as a sequential gearbox with paddle shifters. The exterior features 20-inch wheels and bits of carbon fiber. The interior is decked out with Alcantara and leather. There's also some signature "R" badging throughout. Will this ever make production? The chances are actually quite good, but you'll have to move to Europe or even China if you're serious about owning one.
