Something happened in 1985 that changed the high-performance car world forever. This was the year when BMW unleashed the original M3. Many claim it's the greatest car the automaker has ever built. The E30 M3 was powered by a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 192 horsepower and was paired to a five-speed manual. Performance specs were also excellent for its time, with a 0-62 time of 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 146 mph. The car was still unlike anything else out there at the time. It was literally a street legal DTM car and "God's Chariot" all wrapped into one.
