Volkswagen's T5 van isn't a gorgeous car. Usually, the T5 Transporter walks from 0-62mph in 13.5 seconds and can hit a pedestrian top speed of 106mph. It is best suited as a people-mover with no other possible usage. Tuners TH Automobile have taken the T5 and have touched it up with some improvements that make this van even uglier and a whole heck of a lot more sportier. The stock T5 comes equipped with a 2.0-liter TDi140 PS 4 engine which puts out 140hp or a tuned-up 178hp.

Well, TH Automobile have tossed out that old chunky engine and replaced it with Porsche's 3.6 biturbo engine that used to sit in the 911 Turbo from 2004-08. The Porsche engine gives the Transporter a 480hp and 457lb-ft of torque output. It can run a sub-five second 0-62mph and the big van can hit a top speed of 174mph, great numbers for a full-size Volkswagen van. The Porsche guts also include the German's transmission and their electronics. Larger brakes have been fitted to help keep the T5 in check, while the remote-controlled exhaust system has been fixed up to produce a louder sports exhaust note.

The van is painted a dull brown color and it sits on blacked-out 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior has been fixed up with an interesting wooden floor (and for some reason wooden pedals), revolving rear seats, Kenwood multimedia computer (with headrest display), refrigerator, iPhone support, DVD player and Porsche instrumentation including Porsche Communication Management. Pricing for the Berlin-based TH Automobile's T5 Transporter starts at €70,000 but fluctuates depending on the customer's needs.
