The Ferrari 308 GTB Rally Car Sounds Spectacular

Don't just look. Listen.

There was a time, however brief, when Ferraris participated in rally racing. But Ferrari HQ in Maranello never officially sanctioned the 308 GTB for such racing duties. Officially being the crucial word. Remember, the iconic 288 GTO was originally designed to compete in Group B rallying as well, but it never happened. Reason being is that the cars were simply too fast and powerful to allow for proper safety, and drivers were getting hurt and, in some cases, even killed.

But less than a half a dozen Group B 308s were built by Michelotto in Italy, and the guys over at Autocar were stupid lucky enough to have the opportunity to drive one. It sounds absolutely incredible. It looks stunning. And it’s even right-hand drive. Talk about something special.
