Its California predecessor was mediocre, at best. Ferrari was fully aware it had work to do when it came to developing its replacement, ultimately called the California T. But don't let that extra "T" there make you think this Ferrari is nothing more than a turbocharged version of its predecessor. It's much more than that and then some. The Ferrari California T, with its twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 producing a total of 552 hp and 557 lb-ft of torque, is more than a sports car but not quite a supercar. Call it a grand tourer.

But is the California T a good Ferrari? Yes, and with the $8,000 Handling Speciale package it's an even better Ferrari. Motor Trend's Jonny Lieberman recently headed over to Italy for a test drive and, for anyone who thinks the California T is only subpar, prepare to be impressed because, damn, this car sounds fabulous.
