Many Ferrari purists and other fans were not exactly thrilled when Ferrari announced that it'll soon make the change to a turbocharged lineup in the coming years. The first of this new generation of Ferraris has already appeared, the California T. From the outside it looks absolutely gorgeous, a tremendous improvement over its immediate predecessor. Under the hood, however, lies a new turbocharged 3.8-liter V8.

It'll deliver the necessary performance, but the question is how does it sound? Well, the UK's Car magazine recently got behind the wheel of a California T and while there's room for improvement, the opinion here is that the car sounds better than the also turbocharged BMW M3.
