Porsche has built some memorable special edition versions of the 911 over the years. And now the first-ever special edition 2020 Porsche 911 is here. Dubbed the 'Belgian Legend Edition', the special edition 992 was built to honor the 75th birthday of former Belgian racing driver Jacky Ickx, one of the most successful racing drivers of all time having won the 24 Hours of Le Mans race six times. Four of these wins were achieved in Porsche race cars.

There is a catch, however: you can only buy it in Belgium. Based on a 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, the special edition sports car is designed to replicate Ickx's recognizable blue and white helmet.

As such, the Belgian Legend Edition is finished in a bespoke 'X Blue' color, making this the first 992 to receive a unique Paint To Sample finish. A badge showing the Belgian flag and Jacky Ickx's signature is also visible on the driver-side B-pillar.

In another homage to Ickx's blue and white helmet, the exterior's X Blue color has also been applied to the wheels with contrasting white accents. Inside, the cabin is trimmed in black leather with Pebble Grey cross stitching on the dashboard, door panel and rear trim, which was all painstakingly finished by hand. The 'X' shape of the stitching represents another subtle reference to the successful racing driver.

Other unique interior touches include Pebble Grey piping on the 18-way Sports seats and '911' lettering on the headrests, which is not available on standard Carrera 4S models. The seat backs are also finished in leather, which is also exclusive to the Legend Edition, and the leather central armrest is embossed with Ickx's autograph, while the 'Belgian Legend Edition' moniker features on the car's carbon door sill guards. Even the color-matched key fob features Ickx's signature.

Production of the Belgian Legend Edition is limited to just 75 units. Pricing details were not announced, but it will cost more than the regular Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, which starts at $120,600.
