Ford completely caught us off guard (in a good way) when it launched the Fiesta ST a few years ago. This is a genuine pocket rocket that's also totally suitable as a daily driver. We recently spent some time with the 2016 Fiesta ST and, simply put, we can't get enough of this car. Power comes from an excellent turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four with 197 hp and 202 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent directly to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Want an automatic? Too bad, the Fiesta ST is manual-only.

As for performance, try a 0-60 mph time of 7 seven seconds. Standing quarter-mile? We'll gladly take the 15.2 seconds at 93 mph. Ford also gave the Fiesta ST a somewhat beefier exterior, with add-ons like wide wheel arches, body-color side rocker moldings and unique front and rear fascias.

We also loved seeing that rear spoiler, 17-inch wheels, and dual exhaust chrome tips. As for the interior, it's perhaps our only gripe. It would have been nice if Ford did more to differentiate the Fiesta ST's dash from that of the base Fiesta. However, you can still opt for Recaro Sport Seats for an extra $1,995. Speaking of dollar figures, the Fiesta ST is also one hell of a bargain. Starting price is just under $21,000. We honestly can't think of a better entry-level driver's car on sale today. Special thanks to Future Ford of Sacramento for letting us film the car.
