This show is going to be worth the wait.
It feels like we've been waiting forever for "The Grand Tour" to premier. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have been hard at work on their new show, with occasional teaser clips coming out from time to time. The show will debut on Amazon Prime November 18th, and with that date fast approaching the first official trailer has been released in an effort to get fans psyched. The trailer runs 1:34 and gives us our best glimpse to date at what the guys have been up to. It looks like they've been having a hell of a time.
The trailer shows a ton of cars in exotic locales, which proves that the trio's decision to take the show on the road was a smart one. There will be some studio scenes but the primary action will be on the road and track, as it should be.
In the trailer we see Clarkson, Hammond and May behind the wheel of some incredible cars, including the hypercar holy trinity. The guys also got their hands on an Aston Martin Vulcan and a Dodge Challenger Hellcat. In addition to the traditional cars there are dune buggies, a jet ski, a helicopter, a camel and so much more. After watching this trailer a few times it's clear that the guys haven't lost their magic during the move from the BBC to Amazon. The chemistry is still there and could be better than ever given the newfound freedom Amazon has granted its new golden gooses. Time will tell if "The Grand Tour" is as good as the old "Top Gear," but this trailer has us thinking that it will be.
