Remember a few weeks back when we talked about how the Jeep Grand Cherokee would be the next home of the Hellcat? Now there's more news about the upcoming SUV, and it's nothing short of insane. Motor Authority is reporting that the Jeep Trackhawk project has been given the green light and is being referred to internally as "Project K." That's good news, but what is even better are the performance specs that have leaked. They're nothing short of incredible and are certainly worthy of the Hellcat name.

If the rumors are true then the Hellcat Grand Cherokee will have a top speed of 200 mph and will be able to hit 60 mph in under three seconds. This is thanks in part to its all-wheel drive system, which is reportedly being kept around despite the immense torque put out by the engine. The outgoing SRT8's 6.4-liter HEMI V8 will be the standard Trackhawk engine and could be seeing a power boost to 490 hp (up from 475). If the rumors are true then the Trackhawk is out testing now and will debut as a 2017 model.
