Gordon Murray is a name that should be familiar to anyone who has a passion for cars. He's the brilliant and originally South African bloke who came up with the idea for the McLaren F1. Before that masterpiece, he worked for Formula One team Brabham. Oh yeah, he was also responsible for the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Let's just say his resume is nothing short of brilliant. So what's he up to today? Dreaming up some totally outrageous new hyper car?

Nope, he's heading his own design firm that just revealed a pair of city cars. That's right, city cars. The T.25 and the T.27 will officially hit the market in 2016. Like the McLaren F1's interior setup, each car seats three up front with the driver in the middle. And that's where the similarities with the F1 end. The T.25 is powered by a gasoline engine while the T.27 is all-electric. The latter has a top speed of – wait for it – 65 mph and will go from 0-62 mph in less than 15 seconds. Hey, at least it gets to 60 mph at all. No wait, 65. What's the world coming to?
