This one is for diehard Ford fans. As part of its summer sale, Classic Car Auctions in the United Kingdom has assembled an incredible lineup of classic Fords. The list includes everything from a 1955 Consul Mark I to a 2015 Mustang. While we're used to seeing exotic Fords like the GT go up for auction with equally exotic price tags, this group of cars includes several smaller models from the Blue Oval that harken back to a much simpler period in the motoring world. Some of these models were not sold in the United States but are reminders that Ford's rich history extends far beyond our shores. The lineup includes a trio of Capri models, including a 1975 RS3100, accurately described as the Holy Grail of Capris.

This RS3100 in Sebring Red with a black vinyl interior has had just one owner from new. The prototype RS3100 was built in 1972 prior to the production run of 249 vehicles before being purchased by the single owner in April 1975. Unlike US-spec Capris of the period, this RS3100's front turn signal lamps are not mounted on the grille, but lower down. A 3.1-liter Essex V6 powers this beauty, which carries a guide price of between £50,000 and £60,000 (around $62,400 - $74,900 at current rates).

The other two Capris include a 1980 Mk III 3.0S, also powered by an Essex V6, and a 1971 Mk 1. The latter will make a perfect project car with a guide price of between £4,000 - £8,000 ($4,995 - $9,988).

Three Ford Cortinas are going up for auction as well. In the USA, Ford imported Mark I and Mark II Cortinas prior to the arrival of the Pinto. Perhaps the most impressive of this trio is the 1966 Lotus Cortina Mk I Replica that was fully restored by a Cortina specialist. The Ermine White and Sherwood Green exterior looks sublime, but those seeking more firepower might prefer the 1977 Cortina 3.0S Mk 4. Imported from South Africa, this Grass Green example was fastidiously restored.

Three Ford Escorts are among the smallest cars in the lineup. The 1991 Escort XR3i can be considered a hot hatch alternative to the Golf GTI of the period, and boasts sportier styling than the Mazda-influenced Escort that was being sold in the United States at the time.

This XR3i makes 105 horsepower and will hit 60 mph in 8.5 seconds. With only 70,987 miles on the clock and an unbelievably clean original interior, it'll be a lucky customer who drives off in this fun hatch.

Finally, Americans will be more familiar with some American muscle that will also form part of the summer sale. These models include a 1957 Thunderbird Convertible, a 2007 Mustang 4.0 Convertible, and a 2015 Mustang Convertible. The latter two are rarer in the UK but not in the US, so we'll focus on the charming Thunderbird. This one has tail fins and porthole windows, and it was imported from California in 2019. The red interior is gorgeous, and everything about it will appeal to nostalgic types.

This magnificent Ford collection will go up for auction on June 18 in Warwickshire.
