The Hyundai Genesis Can Drive (and Stop) By Itself

Who needs drivers anymore?

The Hyundai Genesis is a clever bit of kit. The car’s Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) is designed to help drivers stay in their lane when driving at over 43 mph, while its Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC) adjusts the car’s speed in line with the car in front, even coming to a full stop without driver input. Putting these car aids to the test, Hyundai asked stunt drivers piloting a convoy of Genesis models through the Mojave desert to alight their vehicles while travelling at cruising speed.

The leader of the pack stays put, but does don a blindfold, leaving the car to drive autonomously and stop on its own with the cars behind it following suit. We assume no-one was hurt in the making of this video.
