This is one of those debates that could easily go on forever. But at some point a few selections need to be made. Thanks to a poll conducted on behalf of Enzo, a new quarterly magazine dedicated solely to Ferrari, an online survey was conducted of 4,500 Ferrari fans in order to determine the top five best Ferrari V8 models. Enzo is published by the same people from Octane magazine while the poll was taken from online readers from not just Octane, but also Evo and Auto Express.

The results have plenty of street cred. The latest issue of Enzo goes into greater details regarding the results, and those results have determined, at least according to these readers, that the 458 Italia is the great V8 Ferrari of all time. Pretty hard to disagree with that. After all, it was the last naturally aspirated Ferrari V8 ever produced before the turbocharging era began. The immediate runner up was the F355 and its longitudinal 3.5-liter V8 with 375 hp. The F355 was particularly important for Ferrari because over 11,000 examples were built, which was quite a lot for the time. Next up is today's 488 GTB, with just under 10% of the vote. The F430 came in fourth with 6% of the vote.

Filling the gap between the 360 and 458, the F430 has a 4.3-liter V8, a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed just under 200 mph. Lastly, the iconic 308. Although it may not have the build quality of today's Ferraris, the 308 featured a gorgeous design and later achieved TV stardom on 'Magnum P.I.'
