Karma is a newcomer to the world of sports cars, but since its launch in 2014 this California based auto manufacturer has impressed the motor industry and car enthusiasts with its exciting designs and strong performance. Both the Karma Revero GT and Revero Sedan are gorgeous things to look at but the GT is getting even better thanks to a slew of appearance and performance updates which should make the Tesla Model S shake in its boots.

The announcement of the new Sport and Performance packages for the Revero GT follows the news that Karma will start testing on its SC2 all-electric supercar wich Karma says will have 1,100 horsepower and 10,500 lb-ft of torque.

The upcoming Revero GTS sets the performance benchmark of the range, but the newly announced packages aims to bring the GT's levels closer to those of the GTS. Named the Sports and Performance packages, these additions include both appearance and performance upgrades. The Sport package adds features such as GTS fender badges, lightweight carbon fiber exterior pieces, cross-drilled rotors, and 22-inch Dune Twist Midnight Chrome wheels.

The Sports package also includes a blackout Karma badge on the steering wheel and sleek carbon fiber trim throughout the cabin. GTS insignia is placed on the center console and UX/UI display as a finishing touch. The Performance package includes the features found in the Sports package as well as a special track mode setting which tightens up throttle response and drops the zero to sixty sprint time to 3.9 seconds.

Joost de Vries, vice president of global sales and customer experience sums up the packages as follows: "The GT Sports and Performance Packages offer an enhanced experience for the driving enthusiast. Through these packages, we've combined the instant torque and dynamic capabilities of an electric sports car, with the comforts of a luxury, extended range sedan".

The Revero GT maintains its 80-mile range on electric-only propulsion and 360-mile overall range. The Revero GT starts off with a base price of $144,800, and pricing for the new packages are yet to be announced.
