Lexus is usually associated with luxury and refinement, but in recent years, the brand has shown the world that it's capable of building sports cars that can stick with the best of them. Who can forget the Lexus LFA, or the more recent Lexus RC F? The Lexus stable is more diverse than ever, and one of its most interesting offerings has to be the stunning LC Coupe. This car channels the sportiness and exotic looks of the LFA, and the naturally aspirated goodness of the RC F in a package that feels typically Lexus. It's more of a grand tourer than all-out racer, but it still looks the part.

Lexus UK is now offering a new LC500 "Black Inspiration" special edition which takes the LC500 from stunner to bombshell. The Black inspiration is a continuation of the Inspiration series that includes the Black Panther-inspired LC, and the 2020 Inspiration Series featuring a stunning Nori Green paint job.

The Black Inspiration does what it says on the label: it takes the vast amounts of chrome and shiny bits of the LC500, and coats them in black. There's a blacked-out grille, side mirrors, roof, and even some lighting elements. The ten-spoke 21-inch alloy wheels are, you guessed it, also finished in black, and at the back a carbon-fiber spoiler wraps around the shapely boot lid and rear tail lamps.

Black Inspiration models are based on the top-spec Sport Plus Pack which adds rear-wheel steering, a progressive steering rack, and more importantly, a Torsen limited-slip differential.

Under the hood, buyers can choose from a hybrid V6, or a naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 471 horses and 398 lb-ft of torque. This is the one to go for, and sends its power to the rear wheels via a ten-speed automatic transmission, resulting in a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds.

Lexus has also treated this special edition to some interior goodies: you get black semi-aniline leather sport seats with dark brown contrast highlights around the seat bolsters, door cards and center console. There are scatterings of Alcantara throughout the cabin, including the steering wheel and glovebox. Lexus is yet to announce the pricing and availability of the Black Inspiration, but we expect limited numbers. Orders open in November. Let's hope Lexus decides to offer the special edition stateside too.
