The McLaren F1 is Holier than Ancient Gods

Supercar

It will forever be legendary.

It was the fastest production road car when it officially set the record back in 1998, hitting 243 mph. When the McLaren F1 was officially introduced six years earlier, it was unlike anything else on the planet. The three-seater supercar is an F1-influenced piece of driving technology that even today is listed as one of the world’s greatest supercars. It could also handle like no other on the track. Power comes from a mid-mounted 6.1-liter V12 paired to a six-speed manual. All told, just 106 examples were produced. It’s still as mind-blowing as ever.
