You've marveled over the racecar-inspired Mercedes-AMG Project One. Now meet its aquatic-racing counterpart. Yes, Cigarette Racing has once again partnered with AMG to build an insane powerboat inspired by one of the German automaker's performance cars. In this case, that car is the Project One. Dubbed the 515 Project One, the speedboat measures 51-feet long and has an increased beam-the widest part of the boat-of 9.5 feet, wide enough to seat six passengers in relative comfort.

Power is provided by a pair of quad cam, four-valve engines from Mercury Racing and M8 stern drives. Together, they provide as much as 3,100 horsepower when running on racing fuel, limited to 2,700 hp on 91 octane. Like the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, extra performance is unlocked using a special key fob. This is the ninth special-edition boat created by Cigarette Racing for AMG. "For 11 years, Cigarette Racing has been our trusted partner that has allowed us to extend our likeminded core performance principles from the land to the water," said Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes AMG.

"By directly translating Formula 1 technology from the track to the street, the Mercedes-AMG Project One is our most ambitious and awe- inspiring vehicle yet. It is incredible to see our vision reimagined for the water in such an impressive and highly compelling form." The 515 Project One's composite structure consists of copious amounts of of carbon fiber, kevlar, and e-glass, allowing it to ride the waves at a top speed of 140 mph. Working closely with AMG, the speed boat features distinctive matte black and silver paint as well as special badging that matches the Mercedes-AMG Project One, though it's a shame it didn't incorporate the Project One's blue racing stripes on the side.

"As the hottest and coolest supercar we've ever created, the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE was our source of inspiration for the impressive new Cigarette Racing 515 Project ONE," said Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer at Daimler AG. "Both embody Performance Luxury at its absolute best, and are destined to become design icons." "Whether on land or on water our discerning customers demand the absolute best, so we are extremely proud to unveil the Cigarette Racing Team 515 Project ONE," Cigarette Racing CEO Skip Braver added.

"It is by far our most impressive high-performance boat yet and represents a triumph of engineering that proudly reflects our unparalleled performance pedigree." Pricing details are only available by request, so you know it will be astronomically expensive-just like the hypercar upon which it's based.
