Bentley took to Twitter to announce that it would debut its "most extreme" car ever on Friday, January 6th. Don't get excited and think that the mystery car is a production version of the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept. That car is still in the pipes, although we'd love it if Bentley was pulling a fast one this whole time and debuted its sexy sports car this Friday. No, the car the English luxury automaker will most likely show the world on January 6th is-drum roll, please-a new Continental!
The 2017 Continental lineup debuted in full a long time ago. It gives us a bit of an idea of what to expect from this new car. Power will be more than the 633 horses produced by the 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 that lives in the GT Speed. Expect this new Bentley to be a middle ground of sorts between the GT Speed and limited edition GT3-R, the latter of which was inspired by Bentley's GT3 racer. The marriage between the two Continentals should produce a car that is both light and powerful...and stupidly luxurious. Aside from a debut date Bentley gave nothing more than a few fleeting glances of its new model, with a short teaser video announcing its existence. We'll be sure to stay tuned come January 6th to see what the automaker drops.
