Never mind the title as we're seriously excited by the prospect of a West Coast Customs Zippo car. When I was 12 and in Jr. High, nothing was cooler than Zippo lighters and West Coast Customs automobiles. In all seriousness, WCC's latest project really does look pretty good from what we've seen so far, though it's nothing compared to the classic 1947 Chrysler New Yorker - the original Zippo car. The new one-off Zippo car has been built as a 'mobile product showcase.'

From the few photos that have been released, we can see Zippo logos on the doors, a cool black and red interior design, blacked out wheels and a rear flat-screen TV. The vehicle even sports a front-mounted winch, though we aren't really sure what it would be used for. "This was an exciting project for Zippo as it represents the coming of a new generation and the future direction of this company. We're excited to unveil this new vehicle at the Zippo 200 with West Coast Customs and are proud to have it parked next to the original Zippo Car - a custom designed 1947 Chrysler New Yorker," said George Duke, Zippo owner and chairman of the board.

The Zippo Vehicle is set to debut on August 13th at the 2011 Zippo 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Watkins Glen International. The Zippo Vehicle will also take part in an upcoming episode of "Inside West Coast Customs."
