C-Class Coupe

Mercedes-Benz has proven once again that even if you aren't a C-level executive you should still be able to drive like one. All cheesy lines aside, the new C-Class Coupe was just revealed and it looks gorgeous. At first glance you might mistake it for an S-Class Coupe. Rest assured that the resemblance was purposeful. That being said the newest C-Class will likely cost about half of what its S-Class counterpart does, meaning you get all the latter's good looks for half the price. So, what's new and exciting here?

For starters, the C-Class Coupe is lower to the ground. It has a steel sport suspension that drops its ride height 0.6 inches and there's even AIRMATIC air suspension (both axles) on offer as well. AMG styling has influenced the exterior, from the 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels to the bumpers and sills. Hell, even the sport pedals are from AMG! Speaking of the inside, the interior is sport-inspired with a flat-bottom steering wheel and sport seats. While the interior looks gorgeous it seems to be a bit cramped which is odd considering that the new Mercedes Coupe is 2.4-inches larger than its predecessor, although that's from firewall to front axle.

Only a single engine is on offer, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder good for 241 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard with optional all-wheel drive (4MATIC). Cool safety features include adaptive cruise control that adjusts to the speed of the vehicle in front of you and steering intervention to help you stay in your lane. We should know more about the new C-Class Coupe when Mercedes unveils it in full, possibly at the 2016 Frankfurt Auto Show.
